WHAT IS TO BE UNDONE
Live Performance
Sat, 11. Sept, 00:30, STWST Main Venue
A live performance engaging the limits of the human, speaking out at the limit of the body.
This happens through a non-language of musical and immaterial architecture, spatially synthesising nervous agitations in order bewitch and invade a real live audience of alternative realities, potentializing an occasion for collective excavation and desubjugation. Initiating a narrative of fate bending disentanglements.
Elvin Brandhi is an improvising lyricist, producer and sound artist from Bridgend, Wales, who builds aberrant beats from field recordings, tape, vinyl, instrument and voice. Using sound and voice as an expansive language transgressing intrinsic systemics and inherited syntactical etiquettes, her live shows are unyielding bursts of erupting animation where her caustic stream of consciousness cavorts with restless, glitched out heaviness.
Her latest release, Villaelvin is an unhinged collaboration between several Nyege Nyege Tapes artists. 20 min HORROR made for Urvacan festival, Compilation Elvin curated during the pandemic. Other projects include: INSIN, BAHK
